Configuring a Department Code on Ubuntu
Overview
If you have been issued a department code for a printer that requires one, you will need to configure the printer in Ubuntu to use the department code before you can print. This document details the process of configuring a printer to use a department code on Ubuntu.
Process
1. Select the Ubuntu logo in the toolbar and search for printer. Click Printers. |  |
| 2. Right-click the printer to configure and select Properties. |  |
| 3. In the left pane, select Printer Options. |  |
| 4. In the right pane, scroll down to Printing Modes and check the Department Code checkbox. |  |
4. In the right pane, scroll down to Printing Modes DC and select the digits of the department code you were assigned from the provided drop down lists. In the example shown, the department code 12345 is configured. |  |
