Configuring a Department Code on macOS
Overview
If you have been issued a department code for a printer that requires one, you will need to configure the printer on your Mac to use the department code before you can print. This document details the process of configuring a printer to use a department code on a Mac.
Process
| - In an application such as Microsoft Word, select File > Print, as you normally would to print a document. | |
| 2. Select Print Mode from the unlabelled drop down list |  |
| 3. Check the Department Code checkbox and enter the department code you were assigned in the adjacent field. |  |
| 4. From the Presets drop down list, select Save Current Settings as Preset…. |  |
5. Enter a name for the preset, such as Department Code, and click OK. |  |
| 6. When you print a document in the future, ensure that the Department Code preset is selected in the Presets drop down list. |  |
